so i just read this thing about cd projekt red, the studio behind cyberpunk 2077 and the witcher series, and it's pretty interesting. apparently, their ceo still thinks they have some work to do to regain the trust of some fans after the whole cyberpunk launch debacle. i mean, i remember when that game first came out - it was super hyped, but also kinda broken.

i think it's cool that the ceo, michał nowakowski, is being so honest about the whole situation. he's basically saying that they lost some fans for good, and that's fair. but he's also hoping that they can win them back with future games, like the witcher 4. which, btw, is coming to pc, ps5, and xbox series x/s - no word on a switch version, unfortunately.

it's also worth noting that cd projekt red isn't trying to rush out games every year or anything. they want to focus on making really good games, not just a lot of them. nowakowski even mentioned that they have a ten-year plan, which is pretty ambitious. i'm curious to see how that plays out, especially since they're not trying to flood the market with a ton of different ips.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're excited about the witcher 4, you can already start getting ready. personally, i'm a bit skeptical - i mean, cyberpunk 2077 was a mess at launch, and it took them a while to fix it. but at the same time, the witcher 3 is an amazing game, and i have faith that they can do it again.

anyway, it's going to be interesting to see how cd projekt redRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
