so, you guys might've heard about cd projekt's witcher spinoff, project sirius - it's been pretty mysterious so far, but we just got some news that's left me a bit worried. basically, the development team has been cut down by more than 20%, which is a pretty significant chunk. i mean, it's not a huge number of people, but it's still a big deal when you consider how small the team was to begin with.



apparently, 18 people are being let go, and while some of them might get to move to other projects within cd projekt, it's still a bummer to see. i'm not sure what's going on with project sirius, but it's had a pretty rocky road so far. we first heard about it back in 2021, and it was supposed to be this ambitious project based on one of cd projekt's existing properties. but then there were some troubles, and the game got rebooted with a new direction. and now, we're still waiting to hear what it's even about.



i'm a bit concerned about what this means for the game, to be honest. i mean, cd projekt is always talking about how much they care about their games and their fans, but this just seems like a bit of a mess. and we still don't even know the proper title of the game, which is just weird. i guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out, but for now, i'm a bit skeptical. preorders aren't even available yet, and i'm not sure i'd want to commit to buying it until we know more about what's going on.
