so i just found out that bungie is making some major changes to marathon, and i'm low-key excited. basically, they're trying to fix the whole progression thing that's been feeling like a total grind lately. you know, where you get to a certain point and it's just like, wow, i need a million of these super rare items to upgrade anything.



anyway, it looks like they're taking steps to make loot more accessible, which is a total win in my book. for example, locked room keys - which are basically the holy grail of marathon loot - are now guaranteed drops from certain events. and get this, these events are going to be happening way more often, so you'll have way more chances to score some of that sweet, sweet loot. it's like, finally, i can use all the good stuff in my vault without having to pray to the loot gods.



but that's not all - bungie is also opening up the cryo archive 24/7 for the rest of season 1. and, on top of that, they're introducing ranked cryo archive with buy-ins of 3,000 and 10,000 credits. i'm not sure how i feel about the ranked part, but i'm definitely down to check out the cryo archive without having to wait for a specific time. it's like, the more access to loot, the better, right?
