so, you guys, there's some super shady stuff going down in the world of warcraft community right now. basically, a blizzard game master (or gm, for short) got caught cheating in a mythic+ dungeon run. and when i say cheating, i mean they straight up used special gm powers to kill bosses for their friends. like, what even is that?

apparently, one of the players in the group was recording the whole thing, and they didn't realize it. the gm used some kind of "area death" ability to insta-kill a boss with almost 90% of its health still left. and then, to make matters worse, they did it again on another boss earlier in the run. i mean, i've heard of getting help from friends, but this is just ridiculous. preorders are available at major retailers for the game, but let's be real, this scandal is way more interesting than any new release.

the whole thing came to light when a reddit user posted about it on the wow subreddit, and it's been blowing up ever since. one of the players from the group even went on twitch to talk about it, and they just seemed so nonchalant about the whole thing. they were like, "oh, i just asked my gm friend for a favor, and they did it." um, no, that's not how it works. the wow community manager, randy "kaivax" jordan, has already responded to the scandal, saying that blizzard is looking into it and will take action as needed.
