so i just found out about this game called rubinite and i am totally stoked - it's a dark fantasy action rpg that's all about boss rushing, which is basically my favorite thing to do in games. you play as ruby, a murder princess with red eyes, who's on a mission to take down a sorceress that's conquered her kingdom. the twist is that the sorceress has a thing for plucking out people's eyes, which is just super creepy.

the gameplay is pretty slick, with a unique mechanic that lets you mark weak points on enemies by holding a trigger and aiming at them. it's kinda like the deathblows system in sekiro, but with a bit of a twist - you can't move while marking weak points, so you have to time your dodges just right to fill up the bar. it's a really refreshing change from the usual boss fight formula, and it requires you to actually pay attention to the enemy's animations and timing.

one thing that really stands out about rubinite is the pixel art style - it's super gory and whimsical at the same time, with this amazing blend of dark and moody architecture. it reminds me a lot of blasphemous, which is one of my all-time favorite games. the world is just so atmospheric and immersive, with these little touches of humor and personality that make it feel really alive.
