okay so i just heard about this thing called "hyperpersonalization" and it's basically the latest way tech companies want to use ai to manipulate us into playing more games. like, they want to predict when you're about to stop playing and then use that info to keep you hooked. it sounds super creepy to me.

apparently, some google exec was talking about this at a conference and how ai can be used to tag assets, debug games, and detect cheaters. those uses don't sound so bad, but when he started talking about using ai to manipulate players, that's when things got weird. he was all excited about how ai can adjust the gameplay experience to make marketing feel like part of the game. um, no thanks.

so basically, these companies want to use ai to build these super personalized experiences that anticipate what you want before you even ask for it. it's like they're trying to create this virtual trap that keeps you playing forever. and the worst part is, they're using machine learning to make predictions about when you're likely to stop playing, and then they'll use that info to throw more ads or offers at you to keep you engaged. it's like they're trying to build some kind of psychological prison or something.
i don't know about you guys, but i'm not cool with this at all. i mean, can't they just make good games that people want to play without having to resort to manipulation? it feels like they're more concerned with making money than with actually creating something enjoyable for players. and what's with the whole "predicting churn" thing? it's like they're waiting for you to get bored so they can swoop in and try to keep you hooked. it's just really annoying.
