so, i've been hearing some news about battlefield 6 and i'm kinda stoked, but also a bit annoyed. apparently, ea just announced that we're getting seven new maps this year, and some of them are actually really big deals - like a remake of wake island and the return of naval warfare. i mean, who doesn't love a good beach invasion, right?

this all sounds amazing, but the problem is that we don't really know when we can expect these new maps to drop. i guess that's just the way it is with live service games, but it's still super frustrating. the roadmap is all laid out, but it's hard to get excited about something that's just going to be trickled out to us over time. i want to play the game with all the new features, not just get a tiny taste of it every few weeks.

i think part of the issue is that ea is chopping up the seasons into these tiny little mini-seasons. each one gets a new gun or an event, and sometimes a map, but it's just not enough to keep me engaged. i mean, season 4 is supposed to be all about the return of naval warfare, but on the first day, we're only getting one new map. it's like, what's the point of even calling it a season if it's just going to be a tiny little update?

i feel like ea thinks that all battlefield 6 players are just totally addicted to the game and will play it no matter what. but that's not true for me, at least. i like to play in chunks, and if there's not enough new content to keep me interested, i'll just end up playing something else. and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only oneRead more: Full article on www.pcgamer.com
