so i just checked out the asus rog zephyrus g16 from 2026 and i'm kinda torn about it. on one hand, it's an amazing gaming laptop with some seriously cool specs - we're talking 16 inches of oled goodness, a 240hz refresh rate, and an nvidia geforce rtx 5080 gpu. it's also super portable, which is a major win for me since i love taking my gaming on the go.



but here's the thing: the price is just ridiculous. we're talking up to $4,800 for the top model, which is just insane. i mean, i know the razer blade 16 is already pretty pricey, but at least that one is a few hundred dollars cheaper with similar specs. it's hard to justify spending that kind of cash on the asus when you could get something almost as good for less.



i think what really gets me is that the asus rog zephyrus g16 is actually a really great machine. it's got excellent battery life, which is a must for me since i'm always on the move. and the chassis design is just gorgeous - it's sleek, it's slim, and it's just perfect for tossing into a backpack. but when you're paying that kind of money, you expect perfection - and while the g16 is close, it's just not quite there.
