so i just found out about this crazy mod for assassin's creed black flag resynced on pc, and i'm kinda torn about it. basically, a group of modders made blackbeard playable, which sounds amazing at first, but then i learned that it's super historically inaccurate. i mean, i love a good pirate game, but come on, blackbeard was a total legend in real life - can't we just leave him alone?

anyway, the mod itself seems pretty cool, i guess. i've been seeing some videos of people playing as blackbeard, and it looks like a ton of fun. but then i started reading about how the modders had to get all creative with the game's files to make it work, and that's when things started to get a little weird. apparently, they used a syringe-shaped item as a placeholder for some reason, which just seems kinda... odd to me.

i've been playing assassin's creed black flag resynced for a bit now, and i have to say, it's an amazing game. the graphics are stunning, and the ship combat is so much fun. but at the same time, i'm not sure if i want to mess with mods that can potentially mess up the game's balance. i mean, i've heard of mods causing all sorts of problems, from crashes to weird glitches, and that just sounds like a headache.
