omg, you guys, the final big update for peak is here and it's literally the peak of the game (sorry, had to). the final ascent update brings two new biomes, gloom and the citadel, which are both super unique and creepy in their own ways. gloom is all foggy and mysterious, with huge trees and ominous spikes, while the citadel is like a castle with spiky balls and secret traps - it's like something out of a fantasy novel.

i'm really excited to dive in and explore these new biomes, and see what other secrets the game has in store. the update also adds a bunch of new items, like a jetpack, warp fungus, and a glider, which all sound like so much fun. and, of course, there's the new clown luggage, which is full of wacky items like lollipops and balloons - it's like the game is just getting more and more quirky.

but what's really interesting is that this is the last major update for peak. the devs, landfall and aggro crab, have said that they never intended for the game to be a "live-service-game" with constant updates, and they don't want it to become a "forever game" that just keeps getting bloated with new content. i can respect that - it's nice to see a game that's just, well, finished, you know? and it's not like they're abandoning it or anything, they just want to move on to their own separate projects, which is totally fair.

i have to admit, i'm a bit sad that there won't be any more big updates for peak, but at the same time, i'm happy that the game is getting to stand on its ownRead more: Full article on www.rockpapershotgun.com
