omg you guys, have you heard about the elden ring movie that's supposedly in the works? i'm totally stoked, but at the same time, i'm a bit worried that it's going to be hard to live up to the game's dark, fantasy vibe. apparently, the film's budget is a whopping $100m+ and it's going to be a24's most ambitious project yet, which is pretty cool.

i just saw some leaked set images and i'm intrigued - it looks like they're going to include some pre-game backstory, which could be really interesting. i love how the game just drops you into this crazy world with no context, but at the same time, it would be awesome to learn more about the lore and the characters. and speaking of characters, the cast is looking pretty impressive, with actors from alien: romulus, the last of us, and ex machina on board.

i'm also loving the fact that hidetaka miyazaki, the president of fromsoft, thinks that george r.r. martin would be surprised by how the world of elden ring turned out. like, what does that even mean? did they take his ideas and run with them in a completely different direction? i need to know more. and on a related note, did you guys hear about the cancelled doom shooter that was just revived with a fresh redesign inspired by elden ring? that sounds like a total blast.
