so, you guys might've heard some rumors going around that arkane lyon's blade game is cancelled, but it looks like that's not entirely true. apparently, jeff grubb from giant bomb said the project might be dead, but then he later clarified that there are reasons we haven't seen it yet, and those reasons don't mean the game is in trouble. i'm kinda relieved to hear that, since i was really looking forward to playing a marvel game from the same devs who made deathloop.

i mean, the game was first announced at the game awards 2023, and we got a pretty cool concept for it - it's an original story about eric brooks, aka the daywalker, who's half-human and half-vampire, taking on a supernatural emergency in paris. the official announcement made it sound like it's going to be a dark and epic game, and i'm all about that. but since then, we haven't really heard much about it, except that it only went into full production towards the end of 2024. that's kinda weird, but i guess sometimes games just take a while to develop.

according to arkane's studio director, dinga bakaba, the team was "hard at work" on the game last year, and they're all really proud of what they're making. he even asked fans to be patient, which makes me think that they're just trying to get it right. the game is still listed on arkane's website and social media, so that's a good sign, right? it's supposed to come out on pc and xbox series x/s, which is pretty cool. i'm hoping we'll hear more about it soon, since the lack of updates has been kinda worrying.
