omg, you guys, i just found out that almost 10,000 people have played baldur's gate 3 in portrait mode, and i am totally baffled. like, what even possessed them to do that? i mean, i know some people might be used to playing games on their phones or something, but still. it's just so... weird. and it's not just portrait mode - 114 people even played it in a perfect square aspect ratio, which is just mind-boggling to me.

i've been trying to wrap my head around why someone would choose to play a game like baldur's gate 3 in portrait mode. maybe they're just really used to playing games on their phone and didn't want to adjust to a different screen orientation? or maybe they thought it would give them some kind of tactical advantage, like being able to see more of the game world at once or something. but honestly, i have no idea. and as for the people who played it in a perfect square... i think they might just be total nerds who wanted to play the game on an old-school monitor or something.

but anyway, enough about that. the game's developer, larian, also released some other pretty cool stats about the game. for example, over 500 million mods have been downloaded, which is just crazy. and some poor guy named zevlor has died over 12 million times in the game, which is just... wow. i feel bad for him, lol. and apparently, most people who play the game don't manage to acquire all 180,000 gold pieces in a single playthrough - less than 1% of players have done it, which is pretty impressive.
