so i just heard that larian, the team behind baldur's gate 3, is aiming super high for their next rpg release. they're talking about making it even bigger and better than bg3, which is a pretty bold claim considering how amazing bg3 was. i mean, we're talking about a game that had some serious launch issues on steam, but still managed to blow everyone away with its depth and complexity.

from what i've gathered, the new game is going to have even more intricate storylines, more interesting ways to fail, and better character customization. and let's not forget about the npc relationships - apparently, they're going to be even more realistic and complex this time around. it's exciting to think about, but also a bit daunting. i mean, bg3 was already a huge game, so how much bigger can they possibly make it?

apparently, the publishing director, michael douse, is feeling pretty confident about the whole thing. he's talking about wanting to "absolutely demolish" steam with the new game's launch, which is a pretty cheeky thing to say. i'm sure he doesn't actually mean it, but it's still fun to imagine the chaos that could ensue if the game is really that popular. and who knows, maybe it'll even happen - after all, bg3 did manage to cause some serious issues on steam when it launched.
