so i just heard that alan wake 2 has finally hit 3 million copies sold, which is pretty cool, right? i mean, it's not like it was a flop or anything, but it did take a while to get to this point. remedy entertainment just dropped their half-year financial report, and it's got some interesting tidbits about their games.



apparently, alan wake 2 started off kinda slow, only selling a million copies at launch, which isn't bad, but not amazing either. and because it's exclusive to the epic games store on pc, some people think that's hurt its sales potential. but hey, 3 million is nothing to sneeze at, and it's great to see remedy's hard work paying off. the game's been out for a bit now, and it's finally started to gain some serious traction.



one thing that's kinda weird is that remedy's overall finances are actually down, despite alan wake 2 doing pretty well. i guess they're just investing a lot in their other projects, like control resonant, which is coming out on september 24th for pc, ps5, and xbox series x/s. i'm pretty stoked about that one, and it's cool to see that anticipation for it has even boosted sales of the original control game.
