so i just heard about this crazy story from path of exile 2, where a single crab enemy has the third highest player kill count in the game. like, what even is that? it's not like it's a boss or anything, just a regular old crab. apparently, it's because of a bug that makes it unleash a ton of projectiles when it dies, and if you're standing on top of it when that happens, you're pretty much insta-killed.



i can only imagine how frustrating that would be, especially if you're playing on hardcore difficulty like streamer zizaran was. i mean, you're already taking a huge risk by playing on hardcore, where one death can wipe out your entire character, and then you get taken out by a stupid crab? that's just rough. but at the same time, it's kind of hilarious that a bug like that could cause so much chaos in the game.



according to the game's developers, the crab's deadly abilities are just one of many bugs that they're working to fix. they mentioned that sometimes these bugs can be as simple as a typo in the code, which is just crazy to think about. like, one wrong number in the wrong place and suddenly you've got a crab that can kill players with ease. it's a good reminder that even in a game as complex as path of exile 2, sometimes it's the smallest mistakes that can have the biggest impact.
