omg you guys, have you heard the news? there's a dungeons & dragons and world of warcraft crossover in the works! i know, i know, it sounds kinda wild, but apparently it's a thing that's happening. from what i've seen, it looks like we can expect at least a setting book for d&d 5th edition, which is pretty cool, i guess.

i mean, i'm a huge fan of both d&d and wow, but i'm not entirely sure how i feel about this crossover. on the one hand, it could be really fun to play as a tauren or a night elf in a d&d campaign, but on the other hand, warcraft is already so similar to d&d that i'm not sure we need a whole rulebook explaining its version of elves and orcs. i don't know, maybe i'm just not seeing the big picture here.

anyway, this isn't the first time that blizzard and wizards of the coast have collaborated - there were some official diablo books back in the day, and even a world of warcraft rpg using d&d's 3rd edition rules. so, it's not like this is totally out of left field or anything. still, i'm curious to see how this one plays out, and whether it'll be something that wow fans will actually be into.
