omg, you guys, it looks like we might be getting our hands on the switch 2 version of 007 first light sooner than we thought. i've been waiting for this game to drop on my favorite console for ages, and now there's a leak going around that suggests it's coming out on september 16th. apparently, amazon japan listed the release date, and it's still up, so fingers crossed it's legit.

i have to admit, i was a bit miffed when the switch 2 version didn't come out with the other platforms back in may, but io interactive said we should expect it sometime in the summer, so this september release date kind of makes sense. still, it's a bit of a wait, and i'm getting impatient. i just want to see how the game performs on the switch 2, you know? io interactive hasn't shown us any gameplay footage on the console yet, but hopefully, we'll get some in august.

one thing that's been on my mind is how well the game will run on the switch 2. i mean, we all know that nintendo's console can be a bit tricky to optimize for, and 007 first light is a pretty demanding game. but io interactive seems to be on top of it - they've been working hard to get the game running smoothly, and their senior licensing producer said they're making good progress. let's just hope it lives up to our expectations.
