omg, you guys, have you heard about the new arenas mode coming to fortnite? it's called arenas, and it's basically a round-robin boxfight tournament mode that's going to be available starting april 9. i'm super stoked about this, because i've always loved playing those user-made creative maps, but now epic games is making their own version.

so, arenas is going to be a core mode in fortnite, which is pretty cool. it's made with the unreal editor, and it's basically epic's take on the super popular boxfight genre. if you've played fortnite creative before, you know that boxfights are like, the most common type of map out there. i've spent hours playing those things, and i'm excited to see what epic does with the concept.

now, i know some of you might be thinking, "wait, hasn't fortnite had official boxfight maps before?" and you're right, they have. there's that legends landing island, which has a couple of small boxfight arenas in the lobby. but this is different, because arenas is all about the boxfights - it's the main purpose of the map, not just a little side thing. i'm curious to see how it all works, and how epic's version of boxfights compares to the user-made ones we're used to.

preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as excited as i am, you can go check it out. i'm not really sure what to expect, but i'm hoping it's going to be a lot of fun. i love the idea of competing in these round-robin tournaments, and i'm sure it's going to be a great way to play with friends. anywayRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
