so, you guys heard about the latest ubisoft news? basically, they just dropped their financial reports and it's not looking super great for them - they're talking about a huge operating loss of €1.3 billion for this fiscal year. but, on the bright side, they're hoping that some new games from their top franchises will help turn things around.
i'm really curious about the new assassin's creed game, hexe - i mean, we don't know much about it yet, but it's supposed to be coming out in the next few years, along with new far cry and ghost recon games. far cry and ghost recon are both due for a comeback, since we haven't seen new games from them since 2021 and 2019. and, fun fact, the new ghost recon game is going to be a first-person shooter, which could be pretty cool.
ubisoft also mentioned that they've got some "targeted premium games" based on their established brands coming out next year, but they're being super secretive about what those games actually are. i'm a bit disappointed that we don't have more info, but at the same time, it's kind of exciting to think about what could be coming. and, in the meantime, we've got assassin's creed: black flag resynced to look forward to, which is hitting pc, ps5, and xbox series x|s on july 9.
