so i just heard about this new game called samson: a tyndalston story and i'm kinda intrigued. it's from a studio founded by christofer sundberg, who you might know from the just cause series, and it looks like it could be a fun alternative to grand theft auto - minus the guns, of course.

apparently, the game follows the story of samson, a guy who's got a pretty rough past and is now in deep with some mobsters. his sister is being held hostage, and he's got to pay off his debt by completing missions and jobs. the twist is that there are deadlines to meet, and if you fail, the interest on your debt goes up - which sounds like it could get pretty intense. i love that the game has a pretty low price tag, too - just $25, which is super reasonable for an open-world game like this.

one thing that caught my eye is that samson can't use guns, but he can drive cars that are basically weapons on wheels. there are over 25 upgrades you can unlock to improve his fighting and driving skills, which sounds like a lot of fun. the game's also got multiple open-world districts to explore, and the npcs remember how you've treated them in the past - which adds a cool layer of depth to the game. i'm curious to see how this all plays out, especially since it's not trying to be a huge, gta-sized experience.

preorders are available at major retailers, and the game is launching this week - so if you're looking for something new to play, this might be worth checking out. i'm definitely going to keep an eye on it, especially since i love open-world games and am always up for something a bitRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
