so, you guys might've heard about the upcoming rpg, the expanse: osiris reborn, and how it's been making waves in the gaming community. i've been pretty stoked about it, especially since it's based on the awesome book and tv series. but, it looks like the devs, owlcat games, have been listening to player feedback and are making some changes to the game.
apparently, during the beta test last month, players weren't totally feeling the voice actor for the male protagonist, saying he sounded kinda emotionless. and, honestly, i can see why that would be a problem - the expanse is all about gritty politics and intense action, so you want your characters to sound like they're really feeling it. anyway, owlcat games is recasting the role, which is pretty cool that they're taking player feedback so seriously.
one thing that's kinda interesting is that the female protagonist's voice actor is staying on, so it's just the male version that's getting a change. and, from what i've seen, players are still giving the devs some feedback on other stuff, like the dialogue and story. some people are saying that the game needs more of a belter vibe, with more slang and cynicism, which is a fair point - the expanse is all about different cultures and factions, so you want to get that right.
i'm also stoked to hear that the devs are reworking some of j's voice lines, since those got a bit repetitive during the beta test. and, even though we don't know who's taking over the role of the male protagonist, it's good to know that owlcat games is on top of things. the expanse: osiris reborn is still set to come outRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
