omg, you guys, have you heard about the pricing for gta 6? it's gonna be $80, which is definitely on the higher side for a game. but, according to take-two interactive, the publisher behind the game, it's actually a "phenomenal value" for what you're getting. i mean, i love gta as much as the next person, but $80 is a lot to ask for, you know?

so, the ceo of take-two, strauss zelnick, was talking to investors about the price point and he said that their goal is to deliver way more value to consumers than what they're charging. which, fair enough, i guess. he also mentioned that the real cost of making a aaa game like gta 6 is actually lower than it was 20 years ago, and that pricing hasn't kept up with inflation. but, at the same time, it's hard not to feel like we're being nickel and dimed when we see a price tag like $80.

i guess what it comes down to is whether or not you think gta 6 is going to be worth the money. and, let's be real, rockstar games is known for putting out some amazing stuff. so, maybe $80 isn't so bad after all. the game is set to launch on november 19 for ps5 and xbox series x|s, and i'm sure it's going to be a huge hit. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're already convinced that it's going to be a must-have.
