omg, guys, have you heard the news about the switch 2? apparently, europe is getting a special version with swappable batteries, which is kinda cool, but also a bit weird that it's not coming to the us. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of being able to switch out their batteries whenever they want?
so, basically, the new switch 2 is going to be a teensy bit heavier, like 10 grams more, and it'll have a slightly smaller battery - 5172mAh, to be exact. and when you add on the new joy-con 2 controllers, it's going to be about 14 grams heavier overall. i'm not sure how i feel about that, to be honest. i mean, i love that it's more consumer-friendly, but at the same time, i'm not sure if it's worth the extra weight.
the new joy-con 2 controllers are coming out this winter, and they'll have the same battery capacity as before, but they'll be 2 grams heavier each. which, i guess, isn't a huge deal. but the switch 2 pro controller is a different story - it's getting a 16% smaller battery, which is kinda a bummer. on the other hand, it'll be 7 grams lighter, so i guess that's a trade-off.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're in europe and you're interested in getting your hands on one of these new switch 2 systems, you can go ahead and reserve yours now. and if you're already a switch 2 owner, don't worry - this doesn't affect you at all. it's not a recall or safety issue, so you can just keep on gaming as usual.Read more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
