omg, you guys, have you heard about the super mario galaxy movie smashing records everywhere? it's literally been breaking barriers at the box office, and i am so here for it. apparently, this past easter weekend was a huge deal for amc theaters, with the movie helping them achieve their best revenue in 106 years - that's a seriously long time.

i'm not surprised, though - the movie is basically a dream come true for any mario fan, and it's been getting a ton of hype. over 6 million people flocked to amc theaters in the us and odeon cinema locations around the world between april 1-5, making it the highest global attendance for a wednesday to sunday period so far this year. that's insane, right? it just goes to show how much people love mario and are eager to see him on the big screen.

but what's also really cool is that the merchandise for the movie is selling like crazy. apparently, it's now the second best-selling merch of all time, with only the taylor swift: the eras tour movie merch beating it. i can see why, though - i've seen some of the merch online, and it's all so cute and nostalgic. i'm definitely tempted to grab some myself, especially if i end up loving the movie as much as everyone else seems to.
