so, you guys heard about subnautica 2, right? it's like, this super popular underwater survival game that just dropped in early access on may 14. and honestly, i've been obsessed with it - the whole exploring an alien ocean thing is just, like, my vibe. but anyway, the devs at unknown worlds just posted a blog update about how they're planning to improve the game based on player feedback.
one of the main things they're working on is making predator encounters less frustrating and more, well, exciting. because let's be real, it can be super annoying when you're just trying to build your base or collect resources and then suddenly some giant fish is chasing you. they're planning to tweak creature aggression and stuff, and also improve some of the items like flares and survival tools so we have better options for dealing with those encounters.
but here's the thing - some players were like, "hey, can we just fight the hostile creatures already?" and unknown worlds was like, "nope, that's not what this game is about." and i kinda get it, you know? subnautica is all about being vulnerable and surviving in this crazy alien world, and adding combat would just change the whole dynamic. plus, it's not like we don't have any options for defending ourselves - we just need those options to be a bit more reliable, you know?
so, unknown worlds is planning to roll out these changes in a series of patches, and they apologized for not communicating with the community very well after the early access launch. which is cool, because it shows they're actually listening to our feedback and stuff. and hey, preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in checking it out.
