so i just found out that the original announcement trailer for state of decay 3 wasn't actually showing us any real gameplay. like, at all. apparently, the team at undead labs was still in the super early stages of development when they put out that trailer back in 2020. i remember seeing it and getting pretty hyped, but i guess we were all just getting a tease of what could be, rather than what actually was.
it's kind of crazy to think that the game was still just an idea in a word document when they were working on that trailer. i mean, i've worked on some projects where we were just brainstorming and throwing around ideas, but to have a whole trailer come out of that is wild. according to philip holt, the studio head, there were only about four or five people working on the game at that point. it's no wonder we didn't hear much about it for a while after that - they were still figuring out what the game was going to be.
the fact that it's been six years since that announcement trailer came out is pretty mind-boggling. i've been waiting for what feels like forever to get my hands on state of decay 3, and now that we've finally gotten a new look at the game, i'm getting excited all over again. i'm a little skeptical, though - after such a long wait, can the game really live up to our expectations? i guess we'll just have to wait and see.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as stoked as i am, you can go ahead and reserve your copy. i'm still on the fence about whether or not i'll be preordering, but i'm definitely going to be keeping an eye onRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
