omg, you guys, shrek is basically taking over the gaming world right now! first, he shows up in a soccer game, and now he's smashing his way into ubisoft's popular fighting game, brawlhalla. i'm totally here for it, though - who wouldn't want to play as a big, green, ogre in a fighting game?
so, the brawlhalla x shrek event is happening right now and it's set to run through august 19. not only do we get to play as shrek, but we also get fiona and puss in boots as playable characters, and donkey is available as a companion. each character has their own unique fighting style, which is pretty cool. shrek uses his "beware of ogre" sign to bash enemies, while fiona kicks butt with her fists and feet. puss in boots, on the other hand, uses his sword and lance to take down opponents.
i love that the event also brings new maps to the game, like shrek's swamp and shrek's muddy swamp. it's going to be so much fun playing as these characters in these new environments. and, of course, there are plenty of other shrek-themed items you can buy with real money, like emoji skins and a ko effect featuring mongo the giant gingerbread man. i'm not sure if i'll be buying any of those, but it's cool that they're available for fans who want to deck out their characters.
i've been a fan of the shrek movies for ages, and it's crazy to think that the first movie came out 25 years ago. the franchise has been so successful, with four movies that have collectively grossed $3 billion. and it's not slowing down anytime soonRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
