omg, you guys, marvel tokon: fighting souls is out now, but pc players are having a super rough time with it. like, i was so hyped to play this game, but apparently it's got some major issues that the ps5 version doesn't have to deal with. the dev team, arc system works, knew about these problems from the open beta last month and promised to fix them with a day-one patch, but... yeah, that didn't quite happen.

so, what's going on with the pc version? well, it seems like no matter how beefy your computer is, you'll still get dropped frame rates and stuttering. that's just not cool, especially if you're trying to get into a competitive fighting game like this. some players are even saying that they can't run it smoothly on their high-end rigs, which is just crazy. and don't even get me started on the steam deck situation - apparently, the game won't even launch on steam os/linux, which is a major bummer for anyone who wants to play on the go.

i've been reading some pretty frustrated comments from players on reddit, and i can totally understand why they're upset. like, one guy was saying that the community manager compared asking for linux support to asking for a switch port, which is just... not the same thing at all. and apparently, the easy anti-cheat system they're using is actually pretty easy to support on linux, so it's not like it's some impossible task or anything. fingers crossed that arc system works will get their act together and fix these issues soon.
