so i just heard that pokemon champions is kinda lacking in the content department, and i'm super bummed about it. apparently, a lot of fans are finding that the game doesn't have some of the pokemon and items that were shown in the trailers before it came out. which, like, isn't exactly what you want to hear when you're hyped for a new game.
from what i've seen, pokemon champions only has 186 pokemon right now, and it's mostly just the fully evolved forms - with a few exceptions like pikachu, because of course pikachu gets special treatment. but seriously, it's pretty weird that they wouldn't include all the pokemon that they showed in the trailers. like, i saw this one post from someone who was pointing out that a mega evolution for raichu was in the pokemon day trailer, but it's not actually in the game. which is just... confusing.
i guess it's worth noting that the trailers did have disclaimers saying that some of the pokemon might not be available at launch, which is fair, i guess. but it's still pretty annoying when you're excited for something and it doesn't end up being in the game. and it's not just the pokemon themselves - some people are also saying that there are items from the trailers that aren't in the game either. preorders are available at major retailers, but i'm not sure if i'm still gonna pick it up now.
i'm still gonna give pokemon champions a chance, because i love the series and i'm curious to see how it plays. but i'm definitely not as hyped as i was before. i hope that they do end up adding more pokemon and items in the future, because that would be a total game-changer. and maybeRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
