so i just heard about this game called pickmon, which is now actually called pickmos (yeah, that's a super subtle name change, right?). apparently, the devs wanted to "better align" with their brand identity, but let's be real, it's probably because people kept comparing it to pokemon. i mean, i can see why - the game is all about collecting and battling creatures, which sounds kinda familiar.

anyway, the name change is pretty funny, but what's even more interesting is that the creatures in the game are still called pickmon. so, basically, the devs changed the title of the game, but not the name of the creatures themselves. it's like they're trying to have it both ways, you know? and honestly, some of these pickmon look super similar to pokemon - like, i've seen pics of creatures that look almost identical to pikachu, charizard, and other famous pokemon.

i'm not sure what to think about this game, to be honest. on the one hand, i love the idea of collecting and battling creatures, and the pixel art style looks pretty cute. but on the other hand, it's hard to shake off the feeling that this game is just, well, copying pokemon. and it's not just the gameplay or the creatures - apparently, some of the game's art was even stolen from pokemon fan artists, which is just not cool.

preorders are available at major retailers, and i'm curious to see how this game turns out. i'm not sure if i'll be picking it up (no pun intended), but i'm definitely going to be keeping an eye on it. has anyone else heard about pickmos, or are you guys just as confused as i am? let me know what youRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
