so i just heard that nintendo released a list of their top-selling switch 2 games, and i am totally obsessed with finding out which ones made the cut. the switch 2 has been out since june 2025, and it's crazy to think about how many amazing games have come out for it already.
i was a bit surprised to see that there are six nintendo games that have sold over a million copies, but at the same time, it's not that shocking when you think about how talented the developers are. the game that sold the most, though, is no surprise at all - it's mario kart world, which has sold a whopping 15.39 million copies as of june 30, 2026. that's just insane, and i can see why it's so popular.
the other games on the list are pretty cool too, and they include super mario party jamboree, kirby air riders, pokemon pokopia, pokemon legends: z-a, and donkey kong bananza. each of these games has its own unique charm and style, and it's awesome to see that they're all doing so well. super mario party jamboree has sold 1.15 million copies, kirby air riders has sold 1.90 million, pokemon pokopia has sold 3.68 million, pokemon legends: z-a has sold 3.99 million, and donkey kong bananza has sold 4.78 million.
what's also interesting is that the switch 2 is getting a price hike in september, which will bring the cost of the system up to $500. i'm not sure how i feel about that, but i guess it's not the end of the worldRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
