omg, you guys, have you heard about project helix? it's this super cool new device that xbox is working on, and basically it's gonna be a pc/console hybrid. i'm really excited to see how it turns out, since i love playing both pc games and console games. apparently, the xbox team is working together with the hardware and software people to make sure it's the best it can be.
i think it's really smart that they're doing it this way, since it means that the people making the games and the people making the device can work together to make sure everything runs smoothly. it's not like every company has both hardware and software teams, but it seems like it's gonna be a big advantage for xbox. plus, it's not like they're just starting to work together now - they've been involved with project helix from the very beginning, which is pretty cool.
apparently, the xbox boss, matty booty, was talking about project helix on a podcast and said that the hardware and software teams are working together "every step of the way". he also said that as the hardware starts to come together, the software teams will be the first to get involved and start testing things out. it sounds like it's gonna be a really collaborative process, which i think is awesome. i love seeing companies work together like this to make something really special.
i'm not sure when we'll get to see project helix in action, but i'm definitely keeping an eye out for it. preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as excited as i am, you can already start getting ready to get your hands on one. i'm a bit curious to see how much it'll cost, since it's a pretty unique deviceRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
