so, there's a new ps5 update out now, and i guess it's kinda cool if you're into that sorta thing. it's not like it's going to change your gaming life or anything, but hey, it's a step in the right direction, right? apparently, it makes reading stuff on your console a bit easier, which is nice, i guess.

i mean, the update notes are super vague, just saying they've improved messages and usability on some screens. not exactly the most exciting thing to hear, but i suppose it's better than nothing. and who knows, maybe it'll make a difference for some people out there. the last big update was all about the ps5 pro, with some fancy new graphics tech, so this one's a bit of a snooze in comparison.

it's also worth noting that this update is coming out just in time for some pretty big game releases, like control resonant and onimusha: way of the sword. so, if you're planning on picking those up, you'll probably want to make sure your console is all up to date. and, of course, there are the usual stability improvements and whatnot, because who doesn't love a good bug fix?

but, despite all this, the real drama is going on in the comments section. people are still pretty upset about sony's decision to ditch game discs in 2028, and they're making their voices heard. it's not like it's going to change sony's mind or anything, but hey, at least people are passionate about it, right? preorders are available at major retailers, if you're into that sort of thing.
