omg, you guys, have you heard the latest news about id software? apparently, they were working on some super cool projects before the mass layoffs hit them earlier this week. i'm talking about a brand new perfect dark game, a co-op version of doom, and something called fury that sounds like a dark, gritty action game.

it's not just id software that's been affected by the layoffs, either. other studios like obsidian entertainment and zenimax online studios have also been hit hard. and, apparently, the id tech engine might be on its way out, which is a pretty big deal for gamers like us. preorders are available at major retailers for doom: the dark ages, but i'm not sure if anyone's really thinking about that right now.

i guess what i'm trying to say is that this whole situation is just really sad. idRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
