so, you might've heard of this game called mindsEye, it's been getting a lot of flak lately, and it's not just about the game itself. the devs behind it, build a rocket boy, are in some serious hot water. apparently, they installed some shady surveillance software on their employees' devices without telling them, which is just wild.
from what i've gathered, the software in question is called teramind, and it was only removed after a bunch of employees filed a complaint. now, those workers are demanding to know what kind of data was collected, how it was used, and why it was even installed in the first place. i mean, can you blame them? it's pretty sketchy to just spy on your employees like that. and to make matters worse, the company is being super secretive about the whole thing.
i'm not exactly surprised, though. build a rocket boy has been having a tough time lately, what with the whole mindsEye debacle and all. the game was supposed to be this big, gta-inspired thing, but it ended up being one of the worst-reviewed games of 2025. and let's not forget the whole crunch time and layoffs situation - that's just not how you treat your employees. it's like, come on, guys, get your act together.
anyway, the workers are taking their grievances to the next level, involving some fancy organizations like acas and the information commissioner's office. i'm curious to see how this all plays out, and hopefully, build a rocket boy will finally own up to their mistakes and start treating their employees with some respect. preorders are available at major retailers, but honestly, i'm not sure if i'd want to support a company with such shady practices.Read more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
