omg, you guys, have you heard the latest metroid news? apparently, there's a new game in the works, and it's called metroid ravenous. i know, i know, it sounds super dark and intense, and i am here for it. the name was leaked by the brazilian ratings board, and it's got everyone speculating about what the game could be about.

so, from what i've gathered, metroid ravenous is supposed to start production in the us this year, which is pretty exciting. the ratings board also mentioned that the game will have some violent content, including weapons, blood, and death, as well as some light sexual content. i'm not sure what to make of that, but i'm sure it'll be a wild ride. some people are thinking that this might be a sequel to metroid dread, which was an amazing game, btw. it was this 2.5d adventure that brought the classic metroid vibe to the switch, and it got some really great reviews.

i'm a bit surprised that nintendo hasn't officially confirmed anything about metroid ravenous yet, but i guess they like to keep us guessing. we do know that the company has some other big games in the works, like the remake of the legend of zelda: the ocarina of time, which is supposed to be a holiday season release. and, of course, there are always rumors about other projects that mercury steam, the developers of metroid dread, are working on. they did announce a few years ago that they had two games in development, and one of them was a fantasy game called blades of fire, which came out last year.
