omg, you guys, have you heard about the new metro game, metro 2039? it's supposed to be, like, super dark and intense. i mean, the series is already known for being pretty bleak, but apparently this one is going to take it to a whole new level. the author, dmitry glukhovsky, just tweeted that it's going to be "darker than anything you've seen before" and i'm like, okay, that's a pretty bold claim.

i've played the metro games before, and they're always so emotionally draining. the whole series is set in this post-apocalyptic moscow, where everyone is fighting for survival in these underground metro stations. it's a really cool setting, but it's also super depressing. there are all these mutated creatures and factions fighting each other, and it's just really grim. but, you know, in a good way? like, it's so immersive and realistic that you can't help but get sucked in.

so, if glukhovsky is saying that metro 2039 is going to be even darker, i'm a bit worried. i mean, i love a good challenge, but i also don't want to be left feeling hopeless and sad all the time. the metro games are always about making these tough choices, where no matter what you do, someone is going to suffer. it's like, you're stuck in this never-ending cycle of tragedy and despair. but, at the same time, it's also really thought-provoking and it makes you think about what you would do in that situation.
