omg, you guys, we're finally getting a first look at metro 2039, the next game in the super dark and gritty metro series. it's been a while since we've heard anything about a new metro game, but 4a games has been teasing it for a bit now. i'm super stoked to see what they've been working on, especially since the series is based on those awesome novels by dmitry glukhovsky.
so, the big reveal is happening on april 16, which is just a few days away. microsoft is hosting an xbox livestream at 10 am pt / 1 pm et, and it's all about metro 2039. we can expect to see the world premiere of the game, which will also be available on youtube for anyone who misses the livestream. i'm planning on tuning in to see what's new and what's changed in the series - the metro games have always had such a cool blend of post-apocalyptic atmosphere and intense action.
for anyone who's new to the series, the metro games are basically a must-play if you like first-person shooters with a strong focus on storytelling. the previous games - metro 2033, metro: last light, and metro exodus - have all been super well-received, and i'm hoping that metro 2039 will live up to that standard. we don't know too much about the gameplay or story yet, but i'm sure we'll get all the juicy details during the livestream.
preorders are available at major retailers, so if you're as excited as i am, you can already get ready to grab a copy of the game. i'm not sure what the price point will be, but i'm hoping it'll be reasonable -Read more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
