okay, so you know how fortnite is always collabing with other ips and it's usually kinda cool? well, this time they're teaming up with the horror film obsession, and i'm not entirely sure how i feel about it. the movie just hit streaming services and epic games thought it'd be a good idea to release a joint ad with blumhouse productions.

the ad itself is pretty short, only a minute long, and it features some jump scares from the film but with a fortnite twist. instead of the main character nikki, they've replaced her with a galaxy zero point sprite, which is like, super rare in fortnite. and instead of using a one wish willow, the main character bear is using a one llama luck stick. it's all pretty weird and if you haven't seen the movie, it just looks like a silly nod to fortnite players who are obsessed with the rare sprite.

but here's the thing, if you have seen the movie, this ad is actually really confusing and kinda off-putting. the movie obsession is about this girl nikki who loses control of her body after the main character bear makes a wish that she loves him more than anyone else. it's a really dark and disturbing film that deals with some heavy themes like possession and rape. and the main character bear is basically the villain of the story, he's super manipulative and selfish, and he does some really awful things to nikki.
