so, you guys heard about the new update coming to marathon? it's like, the mid-season update or whatever, and it's dropping on july 21. i'm pretty stoked about it, since it's introducing this brand new pve mode called vault breaker. basically, you get to explore this crazy map called cryo archive, and just loot to your heart's content without worrying about other players trying to take you down.

i love that you can play vault breaker with your friends, or just go solo - whatever you're in the mood for. and the best part is, each vault you break into gets progressively harder, so you'll really have to be on your toes. but, don't get too attached to any gear you find, because you won't be able to take it with you when you leave. that's kinda lame, but i guess it's to prevent the game from getting flooded with high-end loot. preorders are available at major retailers, if you're interested in checking it out.

so, to even get into vault breaker, you'll need this special sponsored kit thingy. and, as you play through the mode, you'll earn this new currency called vault data. you can use that to upgrade your sponsored kit, or even gear that you can use in other modes, which is pretty cool. i'm definitely going to have to try it out and see how it goes. oh, and get this - the cradle evolution system is getting its first big update, which means you'll be able to upgrade your character with some sweet new improvements.
