omg, you guys, i'm so excited to dive into windrose, this insane pirate game that's all about sailing the seas and getting into epic naval battles. the thing that really gets me pumped is that your ship is like, everything - it's how you travel, fight, and even progress through the game. but, here's the twist: when you start out, you're actually shipless, which is kinda brutal.
i mean, think about it, you're a pirate captain without a ship, it's like being a gamer without a console, right? but, as you play through the story, you'll eventually get your hands on a ship, and that's when things start to get really cool. apparently, it doesn't take too long to get your first ship, you can actually get it pretty early on in the game, after you complete the tutorial mission. that's when you'll meet up with dr. galen again, who's like, a key character in the game.
so, dr. galen shows up at your base, and he's all about getting a crew together to take down the pirates who, you know, tried to kill you. it's pretty sweet, and it's a great way to get started on your pirate journey. i love that the game doesn't just hand you a ship, you have to work for it, and that makes it feel way more satisfying when you finally get it. and, of course, once you have your ship, you can start upgrading it, which is like, the best part - you can make it stronger, faster, and just overall more awesome.
i'm really curious to see how the upgrading system works, like, what kind of upgrades are available, and how hard are they to getRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
