so i just heard about this game called mouse: p.i. for hire and i'm kinda intrigued. it's one of those games where you're a detective, solving cases and whatnot. i love a good mystery, and the fact that it's got a bit of a noir vibe going on is definitely a plus in my book.
i was wondering how long it'd take to beat the game, and apparently it's around 7-9 hours if you're just playing through the main story. that's pretty cool, i guess - it's not too long, but not too short either. but if you're a completionist like me, you're looking at more like 14-16 hours to find all the hidden collectibles and whatnot. i'm not sure if i'm ready to commit that much time to a game, but at the same time, it's always fun to hunt down all the secrets and stuff.
i'm a bit of a fan of retro games, and this one's got a bit of a retro feel to it, even though it's not actually an old game. the fact that it's got a campaign mode and all that is pretty cool, and i've heard the introduction sequence is really something special. apparently it all makes sense once you've played through the game a bit, which is always nice - there's nothing worse than a game that just throws you in at the deep end with no idea what's going on.
anyway, if you're interested in checking out mouse: p.i. for hire, preorders are available at major retailers. i'm not sure if i'll be picking it up myself, but it's definitely on my radar now. has anyone else heard about this game? what do you guys think - is itRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
