omg, you guys, have you been waiting for haunted chocolatier as long as i have? it's been five whole years since eric barone (aka concernedape) first announced the game, and i'm starting to think it's going to be worth the wait. with gta 6 just around the corner, it's easy to get distracted, but haunted chocolatier is definitely still on my radar.
so, what's the holdup? according to barone, it's all about perfection. he wants every aspect of the game to be seamless, intuitive, and just plain satisfying. and i get it, i really do - when you're playing a game, you don't want to be bothered with clunky mechanics or confusing menus. you just want to dive in and have fun. barone is being super thorough, even going back to revisit things like the recipe book for making chocolates, which is apparently a major part of the gameplay.
i have to admit, it's kind of cool to get a peek behind the curtain like this. barone is basically saying that he's not going to show us anything until it's just right, and that makes sense. i mean, who wants to get hyped for a game only to have it not live up to your expectations? not me, that's for sure. and barone is all about managing those expectations, making sure that when haunted chocolatier finally drops, it's going to be everything we hoped for and more.
