so, you guys heard about the upcoming patch for halo: campaign evolved? it's supposed to drop next week and i'm actually kinda stoked about it. basically, they're giving us more control over the graphics, which is awesome for all you visuals enthusiasts out there. we'll finally be able to ditch that annoying film grain and chromatic aberration, and the game should just look way sharper overall.
one thing that's got me excited is the changes to the gameplay. they're tweaking the jackals so we can stagger them more easily, which is how it's always been in the original halo games. and, sgt johnson won't be blocking our progress anymore, which is a huge relief. i mean, who hasn't gotten stuck on a mission because of that guy, right? they're also fixing some issues with the marines and flood marines, so they'll be firing their assault rifles correctly with the magnified skull on.
i'm a bit curious to see if this patch will fix some of the other problems players have been having, like the unresponsive enemy ai and those pesky cutscenes that just won't play right. we'll have to wait for the full patch notes to see what's changing, but it's good to know that the devs are listening to our feedback. one thing to keep in mind, though, is that our mid-mission saved progress will be lost when we download the update - but at least our unlocked missions and rally points will still be there.
