omg, you guys, have you heard about the secret ending in halo: campaign evolved? it's basically a huge tease for a potential halo 2 remake, and i am so here for it. apparently, if you complete the campaign on legendary difficulty, you get this super cool sequence with sergeant johnson just chillin' on a beach chair, watching the original legendary joke ending from halo: combat evolved.

i love how they threw that in there, it's like a little wink to the fans. and then, just as you think it's all over, johnson gets picked up by a pelican and turns to the camera to say "see you in the sequel". i mean, come on, that's basically a huge hint that something is coming. i've heard rumors that remakes of halo 2 and 3 are in the works, but without multiplayer, which is a bit of a bummer. still, i'd totally be down for a remake of halo 2, especially if it's as well done as campaign evolved.

so, a bit of background - campaign evolved is the first game from the rebranded halo studios, and it's out on xbox series x|s, ps5, and pc on july 28. if you splurged on the premium edition, you might've already gotten to play it, although i've heard some xbox and pc players had some issues. anyway, the game is supposed to be pretty amazing, with some people even calling it the new gold standard for playing through the first halo. i can see why, just from what i've seen so far - the graphics are insane, and it looks like they've really done the original justice.
