so i just heard that gta 6 preorders are kinda blowing up right now, and i'm not even surprised. i mean, it's grand theft auto - one of the most iconic game series out there. take-two's ceo, strauss zelnick, just said that the number of preorders is basically unprecedented in the gaming industry, which is pretty wild.

i've been following the news about gta 6 for a while now, and it's cool to see that people are still super hyped about it. zelnick did try to keep things in perspective, though - he reminded everyone that a ton of preorders doesn't necessarily mean the game is going to sell crazy well when it actually launches. which is fair, i guess. i mean, people can always cancel their preorders if they change their mind.

anyway, take-two is still being pretty tight-lipped about their sales expectations, but they do seem pretty confident about the game's release on november 19. and, yeah, that's still happening - no more delays, thankfully. one thing that's got some people talking is the $80 price tag, but take-two thinks it's a "phenomenal value", whatever that means. personally, i'm not sure if i'm ready to drop that much cash on a game just yet.
