omg, have you guys heard about the insane marketing push for gta 6? it's literally everywhere - rockstar is teaming up with almost every social media platform out there to hype up the game. and if that wasn't enough, they're also partnering with netflix for a six-hour exclusive look at the game, which is totally a first.
i'm not sure how i feel about this whole netflix thing, though. on the one hand, it's kinda cool that we're getting a special sneak peek at the game, but on the other hand, it's a bit annoying that we have to go through netflix to see it. and what about people who don't have netflix? shouldn't they be able to see the trailer too? it's not like it's a full episode of a show or something, it's just a trailer.
apparently, the ceo of take-two is really stoked about the partnership, though. he says that netflix is a "great marketing partner" and that they're always brainstorming new ideas together. it's pretty clear that rockstar is trying to make a big splash with gta 6, and they're pulling out all the stops to get people excited. preorders are available at major retailers, so i'm guessing we'll be hearing a lot more about the game in the coming weeks.
