so i just heard that the pricing for gta 6 could've been even higher, but the devs decided to keep it somewhat reasonable. apparently, there were people who thought the game deserved a $100 price tag, but take-two and rockstar went with $80 for the standard edition and $100 for the premium one instead.

i'm kinda surprised they didn't charge more, to be honest. i mean, everyone knows gta 6 is going to be a huge game, and people are going to buy it no matter what. but i guess the devs wanted to make sure the price wasn't too crazy for fans. the take-two boss, strauss zelnick, said they wanted to give players way more value than what they're charging, which is pretty cool, i think.

so, preorders for gta 6 are already going on, and it seems like people are leaning towards the $100 edition. that's not too surprising, since fans who preorder games right away tend to be the most dedicated ones who don't mind paying a bit extra. preorders are available at major retailers, and if you do decide to get the game early, you'll get some pretty sweet bonuses, like the vintage vice city pack with some awesome '80s-inspired content.

i'm still on the fence about getting gta 6, but i have to admit, the preorder bonuses are pretty tempting. and hey, at least we know the game is coming out on november 19 for ps5 and xbox series x|s, so we don't have to wait too much longer. there's also going to be some kind of event on august 27 where we'll get to see more of the game, which should be pretty cool.
