omg you guys, final fantasy 14 is coming to the switch 2 next month and i am so hyped, but also kinda worried about the storage situation. apparently, the game is going to take up a whopping 117.2gb of space, which is like, almost half of the console's built-in ssd. that's crazy, right?

i guess it's not entirely surprising, given that the switch 2 version is going to include the base game and all five expansions - heavensward, stormblood, shadowbringers, endwalker, and dawntrail. each one of those is a huge piece of content with new stories, classes, and activities, so it's no wonder the game is so massive. i mean, final fantasy 14 has been around for over a decade, so it's had plenty of time to grow and expand.

but, yeah, the storage thing is a bit of a concern. i know square enix games are notorious for being huge on the switch 2, but this is just ridiculous. i mean, the final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth are already 90gb and 95gb, respectively, so it's not like we didn't see this coming. still, it's a bit of a bummer, especially since microsd express cards are getting more expensive by the day. preorders are available at major retailers, but be prepared to shell out some extra cash for storage.

i've been looking into getting a microsd express card to beef up my switch 2's storage, but the prices are just insane right now. like, i've seen the lexar 1tb card go from $220 to $350 in just a few months, which is wild. and it's not just the high-endRead more: Full article on www.gamespot.com
